First Christian Church After School Program

- Cat and Dog Day ~ where we eat ice cream out of a bowl without a spoon
- Elvis Day ~ where the King was in the building as we listened to his music and watched his movies
- Celebrate America Day ~ Patrotic crafts and and edible graham cracker and frosting flag.
- Pasta Day ~ Airplanes from lasagna noodles and a pasta buffet for lunch and many more fun days.
Are you looking for dependable, safe care for your child in the after school hours? Look no further ~ The First Christian Church After School Program is available to all Meridian students Kindergarten - 6th grade Monday-Friday from 3-6PM.
The Program features adult supervision from the Primary buses and Intermediate school to the Church. A time to take care of personal needs then a choice of snack. Daily homework time follows with homework assistance, practice of weekly spelling words and time for Accelerated Reading.
The rest of the day is spent in play time. Students may choose to play outside in the large grassy yard, play educational games on our computers (these computers have no internet access) or play with one of the hundreds of various toys and board games.
When school is not is session or is dismissed early, we are there. On days when there is no school we are open from 6:30-6PM. Each day has a "theme" and these days feature games, crafts, a movie and menu that go along with our theme.

The First Christian Church After School Program is an outreach ministry and an extension of the Youth Programming of the First Christian Church in Blue Mound, IL and is not a licensed daycare facility.
